Impressionist art is a style of art in which was introduced in France in the 19th century. In this art style the artist tries to capture the image in a way that seems as though they have only gotten a glimpse of the image. The artwork is usually done in an extrmely short period of time so tht the artist can show exatly what the scene/image looked like in the exact moment they were painting it.The artwork's purpose is more to highlight the percetion of the artist rather than the exact visual details. Impressionist paintings tend to be very colourful and vibrant since there are many bold sections of solid colours. Artits normally paint outdoor scenes with this art style to emphsize on factors such as light hitting the object or how the weather effects the scenery. Some of the most well known impressionist artists were Edouard Manet, Camille Pissaro, Edgar Degas, Alfred Sisley, Claude Monet, Berthe Morisot and Pierre Auguste Renoir.
